Walking On Water

What is Walking on Water (WOW)?

Most current small group programs at Centered on Christ are a presentation of content followed by small group discussions. Participants generally learn from what the author has gleaned in their study or from the Holy Spirit to gain more knowledge about a particular subject.

Walking On Water is a purpose-driven process where one seeks to grow in six clearly defined tangible and measurable disciplines needed as Disciples. Participants learn how to encounter the Holy Spirit directly through the material provided. In this process, much of what they glean in knowledge will come directly from their experience with the Holy Spirit as they explore the Word of God. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, participants will explore eight profound truths from God’s Word and learn how to apply them more effectively in their lives. Each profound truth is a six-week journey that takes participants through three simple movements – Focus Weeks, Clarity Weeks, and Practice Weeks.

If you are interested in starting and facilitating a WOW group, contact our ACC offices and ask for the Director of Adult Discipleship. We will be glad to provide you with all the materials and training you need to facilitate and lead a group.

Legion of Mary

Our local chapter of the Legion of Mary meetings every Tuesday at Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church at 4:30 p.m. in the Parish Center. This is a very structured group that has two types of members. There are regular active members that come to most weekly meetings, and there are auxiliary members, who act as prayer warriors for the ministry. For active members, this is a ministry that combines prayer and service to the local Church and community. Members hold each other accountable by sharing their weekly experiences of prayer and service.

The Legion of Mary (LOM) is one of the largest Catholic lay organizations in the world. The LOM is the extension of the heart and hands of the pastor. Its’ purpose is the personal Sanctification of members and the evangelization of others. Members are enabled to see Christ in others and serve Him in them by developing a closer relationship with Christ thru prayer(rosary) and study of the teachings of the Catholic Church, working hand-in-hand with the Blessed Virgin Mary in humble guidance of the parish priest as instruments of the Holy Spirit doing his work. Click the “Learn More” button below to see their international organizations’ website.

To join our local group, contact our ACC offices and ask for the Director of Adult Discipleship, and we can get you connected.

We would like to extend an invitation to anyone who feels the need for prayer in this time we live in! Join us Monday mornings, after 8:30 Mass at the Church of Saint Boniface in Cold Spring, immediately after Mass.
